Furley & Co - Award winning Hull bar and restaurant

Johnson Construction designed and refurbished this modern, contemporary-style bar restaurant within a three-storey Victorian quayside warehouse in Hull's Old Town.

The new pub was once home to maritime firm Furley & Co. who ran paddle steamers and canal boats carrying cargo across Yorkshire.

The pub boasts a 3,175sq ft bar, where 12 keg lines and 5 cask lines change regularly. The venue has a bright, casual, stripped-back vibe and is made up of booths, leather settees and stool tables.

Johnson Construction provided interior design, stripped back the original interior and completed the refurbishment in three months ready for the opening in September 2015.

The bar has subsequently become one of Hull's favourite venues and was voted Bar of the Year in the Hull 2017 Lifestyle Awards.

Johnson Construction MD, Andrew Johnson said: "It was extremely satisfying to deliver this client's vision of how a contemporary real ale bar should look. They loved our designs and the bar has become a huge success."
